Head of Monitoring Department

We require the following from the candidates:

Managing the monitoring and response team

Develop, collect, and analyse key performance indicators for the department

Scheduling work and planning staff workload

Organise duty calls for monitoring system alerts

Keeping monitoring system up to date

Development and collection of metrics for prompt response

Development and collection of infrastructure and application metrics

Analysis of collected metrics, for proactive (pre-incident) monitoring of incidents

Automation of incident detection/response/investigation/escalation tools

Designing and enforcing response plans for various monitoring notifications

Incident handling

Organisation of critical incident response processes to minimise damage and deal with incidents and their consequences as quickly as possible

Tracking technical status through analysis of various metrics

Responsibilities and duties:

Experience in IT at least 1 year (developer,system administrator, tester, Support specialist, 2 or 3 line)

Ability to analyze web server logs (nginx, haproxy, IIS)

Understanding of web applications

Experience with linux

SQL knowledge (basic+)

Understanding of OSI network model

Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, ElasticSearch, Zabbix

English - starting from the Intermediate

Nice to have:

Experience in automation of routine operations through scripts (bash, powershell, etc.)

Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles
